As a former student of school district #149, I am extremely honored to serve our community as the Principal of Diekman Elementary School- proud home of the BULLDOGS! This will be my ninth year in leadership, and my staff and I would like to welcome you with our school's theme for the year, "I Am Diekman's Best!" As I commit to being the BEST administrator and my staff commits to being the BEST instructors for our students; we also ask you to commit to being the BEST parents / guardians for your child(ren).
My staff and I would like to welcome you to an experience in which the wellness and the holistic needs of every student will be met, beginning the first day of school. All Kindergarten thru 6th grade students will begin their journey for learning Monday, August 29, 2022. Our school hours are from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. All school doors will open at 8:50 a.m.
All returning Pre-Kindergarten students will begin their first day of school Wednesday, September 7, 2022, from 9:00a.m. – 3:00 p.m. If you have a child between the ages of 3- 5 years of age, and you are interested in a screening appointment, please contact Diekman School at (708) 841-3838.
Our school’s uniform policy requires students to wear navy pants/skirts/jumpers with a light blue top. We look forward to seeing all students on the first day of school in their uniform, ready to LEARN!
We are pleased to inform you that Dolton School District 149 will continue the implementation of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), an option for ALL students to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch each day at no charge for the 2022-2023 school year.
As we continue to build relationships with all stakeholders throughout this school year, we encourage you to become an active member of our Bulldog Family. It is imperative that we take every precaution to keep every student safe while learning in an engaged environment. I am aware that challenges may arise as we adapt to the changes pertaining to this school year, and I am committed to serving as the compassionate leader our school community deserves! My staff and I look forward to welcoming all K-6th students, parents, faculty and staff to our productive and exciting school year beginning the first day of school Monday, August 29, 2022 @8:50 a.m.
